Mistress of the Dark

I got this with a bundle of other 1oz teas which were cycling out and I'm so glad I did. This comes through like a super intense Earl Grey, richer on both the tea front (hello there Pu Erh) and the bergamot (the citrus is so strong). It makes it an astoundingly effectively kick to get up in the morning and I found myself gravitating to this for my first cuppa of a day until suddenly it was all gone XD I can't wait for this to be back in rotation; I shall certainly be ordering more!

At first sip, this almost seems like another Earl Grey, but the taste is deeper, richer than Earl Grey. While Earl Grey can sometimes be a bit sharp, this is always smooth. I love this tea. I wish that it would stick around a little longer.

I don't know what it is about this tea that makes me so happy. Perhaps it's the scent of bergamot, something that reminds me of an orange bergamot gel candle I had when I was younger, and curling up in a comforter with a book while the smell filled me room.

I definitely recommend this tea if you want a lovely smooth tea that's easy to sip well into the night, even when you should have stopped before dusk. But then, the richness of this blend, like it's namesake, is hard to resist. :)
